We are looking for well qualified teachers with experience of teaching the England & Wales National Curriculum. The successful candidate will be teaching English Literature and Language to our secondary students, preparing them for their IGCSEs and helping develop our English department. The ability to inspire students and create a stimulating learning environment is essential.
Teachers at BASM have excellent subject knowledge and are expected to work collaboratively, to reflect on their own practice and to contribute to the ethos and vision of the school. In addition to key teaching responsibilities, staff have a pastoral role, giving them the opportunity to foster students’ holistic development and to play an integral part in the school community.
All teaching within the school is undertaken in English, therefore language competence can be assessed as part of the application process. All applicants must have a valid teaching qualification with QTS and at least 2 years experience teaching the England & Wales National Curriculum.
The overarching vision of The British Academy School Marrakech – BASM - is to bring the best of British Independent School education to Morocco. To help fulfil this vision, and uniquely so to Marrakech, our teachers are recruited having completed their teacher training in the UK.
